Finally a drawing in my moleskine after aaaaaages of it quietly sitting at the corner of my desk. I am getting ready for a holiday and a road-trip is my idea of a perfect one. This holiday won't be a road-trip, but one can draw and fantasize, no?

Welcome to my boudoir!
...or at least that's what this series reminds me of. Something like nouveau vintage, satin, velvet, textile wallpapers, delicate retro jewelry, art deco, jazz age and such. Well, at least that is what I attempted and, just a btw, I don't think I have ever done as many pieces in one style.
Hope you like :)
(still undecided whether to make it a brooch, pendant or a ring)
pendant

ring
brooch
necklace
And these I especially like, beacuse of the combination of retro and recycling - namely they are all done on old jar lids:

Spring is back in town!
Ok, so I might be slightly late with the whole 'spring is back in town' thing, but as inspiration goes, that was it. I adore sunshine, and our balcony view is just great as we have a huge tree right in front of it and loads of birds at all times. Anyway, all of the jewelry below follows a 'spring in the city theme'. I hope it brings some sunshine your way.

Snakes
Obviously, I like the look of snakes and snake skin. These two are an experiment and contain no wiring (which is probably a bad idea, but I like them too much to try to break them). As it is, they are quite flexible and I hope they won't break soon. I tried to put in wiring, but couldn't make it work somehow. Later I found this Donna Kato tutorial for bangles, so I might give it a try in the next batch.
Btw., both are made from polymer clay and hand painted with acrylics.
